Stay in a holiday home

This year we had many returning hotel guests who chose to stay in one of our houses, in the middle of the village, between Spanish neighbors or just on the outskirts. Certainly if you intend to stay a little longer, this gives a lot of freedom. You can always use the facilities in the hotel, such as breakfast in the hotel,  the restaurant, the swimming pool (1 April – 1 October heated) and all information.

From the end of December, all agencies and booking sites can use the agenda again. If you are interested, take a look at our site and ask for a quote. At this moment, the most popular weeks are still available.

Casa Fuente (suitable for 2 adults and 2 children),  Casa Charcas (2 adults and 2 children or 4 adults) and Casa Amaya (2 adults and 2 children or 4 adults) are located in the middle of the village. All houses have a nice roof terrace and the village square with its terraces and restaurants is around the corner.

But since you are not yet allowed to leave the province, we offer you, close to home, the opportunity to exchange your “temporary prison” for a few days in one of the beautiful rooms of La Posada del Angel where you can enjoy the culinary skills from chef and owner Alex. La Posada del Angel, located in Ojén, with many hiking possibilities nearby, offers two nights in one of the hotel rooms, an exclusive dinner on one day and a simpler dish of the day with dessert on the other day. The dinner will be served on your own private terrace. To celebrate our reopening and start of the spring season, we offer all couples a free bottle of cava or wine. The price for two nights with breakfast and two dinners starts at  € 145 p.p. depending on your choice of room type.

If you prefer a stay of one night including dinner, the price starts at € 155 per couple for two persons.

10 great DAYS OUT from Ojén

1. MARBELLA for the beautiful streets, Plaza de los Naranjos, drink a coffee, little shops
2. GRANADA for the Alhambra, Albaycín & tapas
3. Take a bike or scooter and explore MALAGA, streetart, Muelle Uno & tapas.
4. Drive to the WHITE VILLAGE of Casares, make a trip on horseback through the flowering fields
5. WALKING the Paseo Marítimo to PUERTO BANUS, spot cars and yachts during lunch, take the catamaran back
6. Visit one of the FERIAS, the patios in Cordoba, Sevilla or the horses in Jerez de la Frontera
7. Walk along the vast beaches around TARIFA, visit the village and make a trip to see dolphins
8. HIKING from the village of Ojén along the Rio Verde all the way down  to the beach of Marbella, have lunch
9. RELAX in the sun and eat paella in one of the Chiringuitos along the beach

Furthermore, the path includes, among other historical sources, the series of 42 “Almenara” watchtowers along the coast of Malaga, as well as the Phoenician archaeological Vélez Málaga site.

According to Andalucia.com, 70% of the path is now completely ready. In the neighborhood of Marbella there are another 5 projects that will be tackled in 2020, from the arch of Marbella to Los Monteros. See which routes were ready by the end of 2019.

Cyclists

Not all parts are accessible for cyclists. In Estepona cycling on the promenade is forbidden, in Mijas not on weekends and in Marbella cyclists may ride a maximum of 10 km/hour.

Progress

We will follow the path in the coming period. Then we can see how fast the progress is. The video below was made at the beginning of 2019, while many pieces were tackled in that year.

For some time it has been possible to travel with a luxury camper from Ojén. In our village you can rent the camper version of your preference and Andalusia is at your feet. To Portugal, the Sierra Nevada, Cádiz or Madrid? In combination with our hotel there is the possibility to acclimatize a few days in La Posada del Angel before you leave with the camper. You can also stay in the hotel when the motorhome is not available yet or to relax at the end of your stay.

Andalusia has a lot to offer, from cities and villages to beautiful nature reserves and beaches. Three routes have now been developed. One route to and along the Costa de la Luz, a route to the Portuguese Algarve and a route to the less discovered Costa Tropical, located to the east of Malaga. But of course you can also follow your own route. We can give advice about the big cities and about other places in Andalusia that are worth visiting. With the right apps you will find places where you can spend the night with the camper. At a campsite or a beautiful location along the beach … ..
