New Year’s Eve in Ojén is celebrated in a huge tent which is placed next to the church, at the village square. At twelve o’clock, you traditionally eat 12 grapes to ensure that you have all the luck in 2020, after which the party starts and continues until the early morning.

In the evening, a nice New Year’s Eve dinner will be served at the hotel, which will consist of luxurious tapas.

The menu

The menu is all about “Compartir y Disfrutar”, sharing and enjoying tapas, pinchos and tastings together with your partner. E.g. duck liver with caramelised onion in Pedro Ximenez, Spanish langoustine with shellfish foam, a gazpacho sandwich … to name just a few dishes. The Chef will surprise you throughout the evening, with a creative variation on all the beautiful Spanish dishes.

On New Year’s morning we serve an extensive champagne brunch.

Incidentally, this is a period in the year in which the daytime is usually characterized by excellent temperatures, often even well above 20 degrees. The golf courses have attractive rates and you can ski in the Sierra Nevada, nice for a day trip from Ojén.

We offer this package based on 4 nights around New Year’s Eve, very extensive luxury tapas dinner, bubbles, New Year brunch, breakfast on the other days from € 660.00 per 2 people. The price is based on a Standard Room. Depending on the choice of room type, there is an additional cost.

Winter offer: Golf clinic for starting or experienced golfers 

At Marbella Golf & Country Club, a 20 minutes’ drive from Ojén, there is a golf school with practice facilities . One of the pro’s, Stephane, each winter, offers  an attractive program to learn how to golf or to improve your golf game.

– Introduction course for two people, including the use of clubs
– Improve your swing or short game
– Special program for single handicappers

Stephane is a French international PGA Pro with 15 years of experience in teaching golf. After playing in the PGA tour for three years he decided to take the way of teaching. Stephane can teach in French, English and Spanish.

During spring, the Sierra de las Nieves, the mountain area next to Ojén, is at its best. La Posada has descriptions of the numerous beautiful hiking trails that are available. In summer, after a lazy beach day, you can make an excursion by jeep to the Eco Reserva, where Antonio tells you about the flora and fauna of this area. He also knows where the deer and mountain goats (cabra montes) are situated. The two-hour excursion, which starts in the early evening, usually ends a bit later, because Antonio doesn’t stop telling. Sometimes there are also animals that need to be cared for temporarily. This excursion is fun for young and old !!

Since the arrival of co-owner and cook Alex Leenen, former chef of restaurant ‘t Veerhuys in the Netherlands, you will be treated with culinary delights.
As most of you know, the village typifies itself with delicious tapas on the square. Although a restaurant with a more modern / international kitchen was still missing.

We now serve dinners a few times per week, when there is enough demand.
This varies from a daily special to a 3-course menu.
